Drave has two possible access routes. You can go to Regoufe, park your car there, and walk for about 4–5 km, or you can approach from the São Pedro do Sul side, where you can park closer, bearing in mind that the path is steeper.
The route via Regoufe is more straightforward, but it usually takes longer (around 1 to 1.5 hours). The route via São Pedro do Sul is generally faster, but it is steeper and more uneven (around 30 minutes to 1 hour).
No. Drave is not served by public transport. However, you can take a bus to São Pedro do Sul, Viseu, or Aveiro, and you can also take a train to Mangualde (Viseu) or Aveiro.
If you come via Regoufe, you can park in the village. If you come via São Pedro do Sul, there are a few parking spots along the way. We recommend parking as high up as possible, due to the risk that your car may not manage to climb back up (it’s not common, but it can happen). The DRSC is not responsible for any damage or breakdown to vehicles, and we are unable to tow any vehicle.
