The residential houses have several outbuildings that support farming activities, such as haylofts, animal pens, granaries, and watermills.
The buildings display a sense of unity created by their schist-slab roofs. The so-called Drave manor house is the two-storey building with a balcony that stands out because its upper floor is whitewashed, contrasting with the rest of the settlement which, being built in schist, blends into the landscape.
